What is the velcro on the arms for?
The Velcro strip is a unique feature. When wearing the garment immediately after the procedure, keep the Velcro open. As you recover, the swelling will decrease and the upper arms will become smaller. Closing the long sides of the Velcro will make the garment tighter so that it will continue to provide compression and support throughout the healing process.
For use following arm lift surgery, brachioplasty or liposuction of the upper arms. Compression arm garments or sleeves help minimize swelling and reduce fluid build-up, promote skin retraction and help to improve circulation around the surgical area. Note: The long sides of the vertical piece of Velcro on the upper arms can be folded together to provide continued compression as swelling decreases during recovery.
